Posted this as a new discussion, but haven't seen a response. There was a new firmware posted for the 2TB variant, but not this one. Under heavy writes mine has quit and lost data on me a couple of times, rendering it kind of useless as is. Wasn't sure what happened the first time. The second time confirmed the problem. I've seen other manufacturers release new firmware for similar devices over the past year that seems to resolve the issues.

I have recently been seeing an error that causes windows to crash. It only happens when I try to install game updates or install programs in excess of 50Gb. There was a recent windows update (KB5063878 and KB5062660) that caused many SSDs to fail in this exact way - specifically SSDs with Phison controllers. Many of the identified SSDs share the same Phison controller as my Inland SSD (E16) and some people had success with BIOS updates + SSD FW updates. I updated my BIOS to the latest version from the manufacturer, upgraded to windows 11, updated windows, and updated my GPU driver even. I still encounter the BSOD when trying to install anything more than 50Gb. When the pc auto-restarts, the SSD is not recognized. A PC hard restart allows the drive to boot again.

Aurous pro wifi x570 i AM4 - F39 BIOS ver released oct 2025

Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-3600 PC4-28800 CL18

AMD Ryzen 7 3700X Matisse 3.6GHz 8-Core AM4

Inland Performance 1TB NVME-PERFOR

2070 super GPU - latest nvidia driver nov 2025

Is there any chance of a firmware update for this SSD related to this issue? I have not updated the firmware at all since purchasing this drive in 2019. I'm 4 days over the 6yr warranty offered by microcenter - crappy timing.

Thanks!

I'm thinking about getting my PC built at Micro Center rather than put it together myself for once but had a question. Currently I have an existing retail digital license on Windows 11 that should technically transfer over to a new computer. My question is though would Micro Center still be able to do the full PC build including drivers and OS installation if I don't buy the OS through Micro Center or would I basically have to add that cost in too if I wanted the full service?

I have many years in IT, I have assembled and repaired many computers and servers, but at this moment I feel frustrated, it had never happened to me, I told you motherboard Asus tuf Gaming Z790-Plus wifi, intel Core processor i9-14900k, 32GB of RAM, something so easy to assemble, I put it on and it did not turn on, I thought it was the power supply, so I bought one of 1000W, they changed all the combo of motherboard, cpu and RAM, now without assembling it in the case I tried it, the power supply turns on some seconds, I thought it could be bad the power supply, so buy another always 1000W, but the same thing happens, I tried the memories, in fact buy another 2 of 64GB (2x32GB), I tried 1 by 1 in each memory bank, but it continues the same, it does not give video, it does not whistle, what happens that could be the Motherboard or CPU, but already testing with 2 different ones will be possible that they have the same problem?, or what can I be wrong?

When I tried it on my older PC it still didn't work. I have tried to use other ports and cables. When I run a health check on it, it says the drive is healthy. Help?

Would I need to purchase an additional Wifi card and insert it into the PCIE2 slot or would I need to purchase an M.2 Wifi card and place it in the M.2 Wifi holder? If so, please feel free to drop down any good wifi cards that would be compatible! I have a windows installation media in a USB and when I boot up the laptop, the windows install screen comes up but when I get to the screen where you select the drive, the new SSD is not listed. Anyone have any ideas what to do to get the new SSD to appear?

Hi, I read in a previous post that it would appear that there is no SSD utility for the Inland SSD's, and the reason given was that it is because these are very basic, no frills SSD's. If this is the case, how does one handle Trim, as well as S.M.A.R.T. and other optimizations? Is there truly no consideration for these optimization option? Does the SSD's not have a Firmware? I mean granted, it is not likely anyone would make any changes too or cause for an update of the firmware, however, it just makes me curious that no one felt that there would be a need for any such utility. Can some one please provide me some confirmation that my understanding is correct, and if there truly isn't anyway we can set up Trim or work with any of the other optimization settings you would find on a standard SSD, and if not, is there a 3rd Party util that can be used or any other way to handle this?

Thank you very much!

-Systops

Hello all,

Had a ton of power issues in my area recently, so I’m looking into getting a 1500VA UPS for my gaming PC (850W psu, i7-12700k and 3080 ti), a couple monitors, and my router, just enough to stay up for a good 10 min or so to let me shut everything down properly in event of an outage. True sine wave output would be ideal too. The problem is almost every unit I’ve looked at has multiple reviews like “burst suddenly into flames, fire hazard, never buy!”. Are UPS units just universally poorly made now, at least in the sub $500 range? Or can anyone recommend a model they know to be solid from personal experience?
