I've only recently started getting into PCs so I really don't know a ton when it comes to putting one together with the right parts. So I figured this one up solely based on what I can afford and the base requirements I want in a PC, but as far as any of the advanced stuff or how good any of these parts would be I really don't know. So if anyone could check this one out and let me know what needs to be changed that would be amazing. I'd really love to get a PC.

I mostly plan on using it for higher end gaming and moderate content creation.

https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/custom-pc-builder.aspx?load=f3a9112b-4ce3-4d2a-b3a6-ec99236c6cb4

I am building a gaming desktop to replace my 12-year-old Alienware X51 Intel i3 (I know…I know) system. I'm curious to know whether I'm missing anything crucial or have anything incompatible with a critical component. Take a look at my build link below. And yes, I know it's missing a keyboard, mouse, and monitor. I already have those. Just need the desktop for now.

https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/custom-pc-builder-amd.aspx?load=0830c88e-ad8f-4555-b7b7-308d57434e58

My father is attempting to build a high end PC for his stock trading and wants the "top of the line" as he calls it. Would this fulfill his desire to run two 57-inch 4k monitors or six 27-inch 4k monitors? I'm out of the loop on the current state of PC building, and would appreciate any help. The budget is 5-7k for PC, he has the monitors and etc. picked out.

It's been awhile since I built a custom pc, I want to be able to play games at 4K ( like KCD2, BM: Wukong, RDR2, and future titles ) and also get a stable FPS of 60+ with the whole build lasting me many years with proper maintenance.

Below is what I configured at the Columbus MicroCenter. I liked the Lian Li TL fans more than the CL fans. The MSI PSU seemed to look good based on the cybenetics report. I chose the B850 AORUS Elite because it had 3 M.2 slots and had the least impactful lane sharing for my use case. I picked the ASUS ROG Swift monitor because it's the newer model of the one I already own ( Its showing it's age after 8yrs ). Also I am boycotting Crucial and NZXT.

So is there any suggestions or changes you would makes to this build without breaking the bank anymore than I have?

Name|Item|Qty|Price

I put this parts list together and am looking for some advice. The bundle of CPU , mobo and ram which I know is cl36 but of the bundles it's the best of the 3 imo. Also open to other parts in terms of SSD, fans, case I'd like the Lian li but open to suggestions on anything. Willing to buy off other sites for build but would like a one stop at microcenter. It's not easy to get to where I live but they have everything in person. Looking for 1440 and some 4k gaming hence the 5070ti. Was looking long time at 9070xt but went Nvidia for gaming and slightly better drivers and support for dlss over fsr but open to suggestions or anything. 5080 is not worth the money imo and 5090 isn't needed. I'll likely upgrade or add another SSD later but want to get building before things get more expensive. https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/custom-pc-builder-amd.aspx?load=b70d4f4d-0604-4a37-9d6c-c3a33a9277b3

Hello,

I've been having trouble deciding which build is the best for me. I've tried asking on PC building discords, but I want to try and get other opinions. It seems like their general consensus was to get me to go with a cheaper power supply with higher end GPUs, and I'm not really sure if that's a great idea all things considered. I haven't done or really thought about PC building in 10ish years, so I really don't know what's out there anymore.

I'm looking for a mid-range gaming computer, ideally around $1250 to $1500, but I am flexible up to $1750 before tax. I'm not looking for 200+ FPS Ultra graphics settings, though. My favorite game right now is Helldivers 2, and I'm mainly looking for a setup that can comfortably run it and games like it at medium graphics settings. My other, and maybe even greater, concern is longevity, and I'm willing to drop more if it means I'll get more years out of the system in the long run.

I've been looking at an AMD bundle, but deciding which has been relatively difficult. Do I need a Ryzen 7 9700X, does it make a significant difference, or can I just go with a Ryzen 7 7700X bundle? I'd have the same question for the GPU. I've been looking at the 7900 XT, but when I ask online, people generally say for me to go for the 9070 XT. Do I really need to in order to get what I'm looking for? I've seen some sources say the 9070 XT runs cooler, which I'd assume would contribute to longevity while giving me the performance boost, so it seems like the better option, but I don't know enough to say if it's overkill.

Before I go through my next points of contention, I feel like I should say the case I've been looking at, because I'm not sure if everything will fit. It won't necessarily be a deciding factor, but it'd definitely be nice to know now. I've been looking at the Lian Li LANCOOL 217 Tempered Glass ATX case.

One of the biggest, and maybe most concerning for me, points is the PSU. I went through a few AI instances, and time and time again, they seemed to recommend the Corsair RM850x. The only problem is that this PSU is $170. When I asked about this online, I was recommended the Montech Century II, which is only $90. It's enticing given that it's around half the price, but given what I'm looking for, I'm hesitant to skimp out on this part. So is $170 worth it, or is this PSU or a similar PSU worth looking into?

Next is the CPU Heatsink, and I'm even more lost on this one. I've seen that a $35 to $50 heatsink will do just fine, but given how important this part seems, is this accurate? I've seen the Thermalright PS120SE go for $36, but I don't know anything about it that's substantial.

Admittedly, I may be over thinking some aspects of this, but given the cost of the system, I'd rather get things right the first time.

Hello,

I am looking to build a custom PC that will work well with Adobe both Creative Cloud and Photoshop Elements where I have been doing some basic photo editing as well as 1080p slideshow/video exports, Autodesk
Fusion modeling for 3D printing, and everyday Office and web browsing. I would like to be able to easily meet or exceed (within reason) the recommended system requirements for these programs now as well as have some room for the future such as possibly adding more internal storage or RAM. I initially asked ChatGPT just to get an idea of what I should use, then tried to piece together all the parts with the builder. This is the list I built based on what I was allowed/able to add: <span data-embedjson="{"body":"Ready to build your own PC? Micro Center is your one-stop source for PC parts and more! however there are some differences from what ChatGPT suggested:

Case Fractal Design Meshify 2 Compact (front USB-C + 2x USB-A)

Motherboard (Gen5) MSI MAG X670E Tomahawk WiFi (PCIe 5.0 x16 + Gen5 M.2_1, WinFi 6E, BT 5.3, 2.5GbE)

CPU AMD Ryzen 7 9700X (8C/16T)

CPU Cooler Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE (AM5)

RAM G.SKILL Flare X5 64GB (2x32) DDR5n6000 EXPO

GPU MSI RTX 4070 SUPER Ventus 2X OC (12GB)

Storage 2x Crucial T500 2TB NVMe Gen4

PSU be quiet! Pure Power 13 M 750W (ATX 3.1, modular)

I know AI on its own isn't the best source so I wanted to run both lists by a group who would know better than me at this as I have never built my own PC before. If there are any ways to trim up the cost as well without losing out on functionality, those suggestions would also be greatly appreciated as my goal was to stay under $2000. I suspect one of those areas would be the RAM though I know those prices are currently inflated no matter what I choose.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

As for budget this is pretty much the most I can afford right now (Going to be using the CPU/motherboard/RAM bundle). I'll be going through college and finding work with this PC so it needs to be alright for that. I will use it for games too but by no means am I looking to play cutting edge titles with high settings or whatever. I don't need that much. I have heard the low VRAM on the graphics card is bad but in all honesty I don't think it'd matter much at my level. Also let me know if the PSU needs changed since that's the part I know the least about. Peripherals are already covered since I'm upgrading from a pre-existing system (I can specify the stuff I'm using if it affects anything). Thermal paste is also covered because I have some left over from when I replaced it on my current PC a bit ago. Thank you all!! ^_^
