My local store is the Minneapolis location. Every weekend the parking lot is full of cars with license plates from North and South Dakota, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota, occasionally you'll see some Canadian plates. People travel great distances to get their nerdy needs met. My point is this: many people walk through MC's doors every day that enjoy their passion in relative isolation. A large part of why people opt to travel 7 hours to MC instead of ordering hardware online is the experience of being immersed in computers and gadgets. I have lost count of how many times I ended up making friends with the person in line next to me simply because we share a common passion. I live 20 minutes away from MC, but every time I go it feels like a pilgrimage of sorts. I think having a little cafe where customers could grab a sandwich before driving back to Sioux Falls, and maybe strike up a conversation with people that share the similar interests would be both profitable for the company and cherished by the folks that do not get to have many in-person discussions with people about CPUs and video cards.
