ReadyView - How to Reset the NVR - Micro Center
<main> <article class="userContent"> <p>The WD ReadyView NVR has the ability to be reset. There are two ways to reset the device.<p><br></p></p><h3 data-id="direct-connect-hdmi-vga-connection">Direct Connect HDMI / VGA connection</h3><p>The requires a video cable (HDMI or VGA), monitor, and a mouse (not included).</p><ul><li>Right-click anywhere on the screen</li><li>Click <strong>Menu</strong></li><li>Click in the <strong>password field</strong></li></ul><p>Enter the <strong>admin</strong> password (this was required to be set during the initial set-up of the device. For more information on setting up the device, please see ReadyView: How to Set-up the NVR (<em>to be linked to How to Set up NVR KBA</em>)</p><ul><li>Click <strong>Enter</strong></li><li>Click the <strong>Maintain</strong> icon on the left side</li><li>Click <strong>Restore</strong></li><li>Click either <strong>Default</strong> or <strong>Factory Default</strong></li></ul><div class="blockquote"><div class="blockquote-content"><p class="blockquote-line"><strong>Note</strong>: The Default option will not reset the admin password. The Factory Default option will reset the unit to factory default settings</p></div></div><p><br></p><h3 data-id="web-interface-via-browser">Web Interface via Browser</h3><p>To access the web interface, the device's IP address will need to identified. The device does not have a NetBIOS name. The router table should list the attached devices and show the IP address. The device MAC address should also be shown which will help verify the device.</p><p>From a browser, enter {IP address}</p><p>Enter the admin for the username and password configured during the mobile app set-up. For more information on setting up the device, please see ReadyView: How to Set-up the NVR (<em>to be linked to How to Set up NVR KBA</em>)</p><ul><li>Click <strong>Setup</strong> from top bar</li><li>Click <strong>Maintenance</strong> from the left pane</li><li>Click <strong>Maintenance</strong> from the drop section</li><li>Click <strong>Restore</strong></li><li>Click either <strong>Default</strong> or <strong>Factory Default</strong></li></ul><div class="blockquote"><div class="blockquote-content"><p class="blockquote-line"><strong>Note</strong>: The Default option will not reset the admin password.
