The RGB Case Fan (Powerspec G434) with Lian Li label on the back of the PC is going out.
The back case fan is going out. It is randomly slowing down, making noise as it slows down. I tried finding a replacement fan on Amazon and struck out 2 times. It appears the case fans use all 4 pins for both power and the RGB function. The only ones I found online that specifically said they were PWM RGB LED 12V and FAN…

3D printer filaments with carbon, glass, or ceramic fiber
IIRC Microcenter has 3D printers on display and operating for demonstration purposes at the St. Louis Park location. What filaments are used in them for demonstration? I understand microcenter sells some filaments that contain carbon fiber. Have any filaments with either carbon, glass, or ceramic fiber been used in any…

Micro Center Arizona
As someone who has always been a loyal customer to Micro Center during my stay in Denver, and Florida (Duluth Store). The Phoenix Tech Community is on their knees when we ask for a new store to be brought to the valley. There is immense potential here in the valley, you have people driving 6 hours to Tustin to purchase…

Microcenter in Phoenix
We have vacant Fry's buildings in the Phoenix area that could probably be had for a song . The reason they went out of business is because they started selling stuff not even related to electronics and stocked a bunch of water and other stuff and never restocked the electronics . I tried helping out by buying whatever I…

AMD Build for development
Hello, I'm a software engineer looking to build a PC. I'll be running Linux (Mint) as the OS. I do not do gaming. The biggest load the PC will experience is embedded Linux builds. These will usually utilize all available cores to parallelize the compile. These can last 1-2 hours (depends). I have some specs I know I need,…

Decent Build?
I've been wanting to build a pc for a while now and I am about to pull the trigger. I put this together, I'm in my budget but I'm not sure how well it will look and perform. I used the cheapest case the looked decent. I'm aware that there is no OS key, this is intentional because I am purchasing it somewhere else. If you…

Nashville for a store
Nashville is one of the fastest growing markets in the country. Many tech companies are using this area as a primary or backup operations site to avoid coastal target cities. Several broadcast networks have relocated to here. Facebook has a datacenter in Gallatin. There are other datacenters being built around here. When…

Deciding between 2 systems
Looking to build between 2 new systems. Heading to microcenter this Sunday, so I'm giving them a shot at nearly every part. Thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated, I think I'm getting a bit overkill. The ONLY reason…

Micro Center! Las Vegas Needs You!
Hi there! Not much rhyme or reason for this post, but I recently built a new PC after not building one for a couple of years. It just occurred to me that after Fry's Electronics closed a couple of years ago, we no longer have a mainstream dedicated store for selling computer hardware. I basically had to resort to buying…

Need Help Verifying Parts
Hello! I am trying to build my own PC for the very first time, and was wondering if this build would be good for gaming and game dev. Has anyone else had this many issues regarding a repair/diagnostic?
I brought my PC in like.. three weeks ago or so for a diagnostic. The first time around wasn't so bad honestly, in about 3 days they told me the GPU was bad, so I picked it up, bought a new GPU, and plugged it in. The new GPU didn't fix the problem though and I got the same error on my motherboard, so either the new GPU…

Future plans for Washington State?
We've not had a tech center in our region for our shopping needs ever since the infamous implosion of a certain chain. The closest thing we have is Best Buy, which carries absolutely nothing. Many of us enthusiasts have to rely on web shopping for anything, which leads to a bit of scamming, inflated pricing, etc. I for…

Powerspec G717 issues with randomly shutting down.
Ever since I got my G717 its had an issue where if I ever make a slight movement on my desk or accidentally touch the PC while its on, the monitor will turn off and the fans will start going full blast. I have no idea what could be causing this, I've tried 2 different monitors now and it doesn't seem to be the issue.
