How many of you would like to see a new MicroCenter in the Pacific Northwest?
The PNW is in desperate need of a MicroCenter. Fry’s is fried, Video Only sucks, Best Buy is awful, and I can’t find what I need in town. I think we’re all sick and tired of ordering from Newegg, Amazon, and B&H. We want to feel the product in our hands. We want to see how they work in real time! PNW people, make this vote…

Grounding question?
I have seen the grounding socket plugs, but I was wondering if there was an alternative way to ground my wrist strap and ESD mat. could I just connect the alligator pins to a piece of metal sitting on the ground (ex: a dumbell) or does the piece of metal have to involve something that is plugged in?

What gloves to wear when dissasembling a laptop and touching the battery?
Recently I have been searching the safety procedures for disassembling a laptop. I learned that nitrile ESD gloves might be useful.
