This article describes the steps to take in order to clear file explorer history on Windows 10.
1. Open your File Explorer on your computer, this can be done by pressing the Windows key on your keyboard and the letter E at the same time.
2. Once File Explorer is open, open the This PC folder.
3. Click on the File tab on the top left of the window to open the File ribbon. From here, click on the Change folder and search options.
4. The Folder Option menu will come up. On the General tab, under Privacy, you will see Clear File Explorer history with a Clear button next to it. Click on it and it will immediately clear your File Explorer history.
