My PowerSpec desktop has poor wireless signal/access - Micro Center
<main> <article class="userContent"> <p>If you are trying to use your PowerSpec desktop and notice you have a poor or weak Wi-Fi signal, or perhaps no Wi-Fi signal at all, it is possible that the antennas for the network card found on your PowerSpec desktop are not yet installed.</p><p>There will be two gold contact points on the back of the computer near the bottom that require those antennas which will need to be screwed on for your wireless connections to work properly. The antennas are found in the accessories box along with other parts, cables and the quick start guide.</p><p><br></p><p>The antennas will look similar to this example: </p><p><br></p><div class="embedExternal embedImage display-large float-none"> <div class="embedExternal-content"> <a class="embedImage-link" href="https://us.v-cdn.net/6031942/uploads/editor/aj/40pcpub3ghtx.png" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener ugc" target="_blank"> <img class="embedImage-img" src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6031942/uploads/editor/aj/40pcpub3ghtx.png" alt="40pcpub3ghtx.png" height="180" width="320" loading="lazy" data-display-size="large" data-float="none"></img></a> </div> </div> <p></p><p><br></p><p>On the back of your PowerSpec desktop, locate the two gold contacts/screws. The exact location of these ports on the back will vary slightly by model. See the following examples of what to look for:</p><div class="embedExternal embedImage display-large float-none"> <div class="embedExternal-content"> <a class="embedImage-link" href="https://us.v-cdn.net/6031942/uploads/285NYAP16ZNI/image.png" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener ugc" target="_blank"> <img class="embedImage-img" src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6031942/uploads/285NYAP16ZNI/image.png" alt="image.png" height="1000" width="1000" loading="lazy" data-display-size="large" data-float="none"></img></a> </div> </div> <div class="embedExternal embedImage display-large float-none"> <div class="embedExternal-content"> <a class="embedImage-link" href="https://us.v-cdn.net/6031942/uploads/2YTM1FMFCSJ4/image.png" rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener ugc" target="_blank"> <img class="embedImage-img" src="https://us.v-cdn.net/6031942/uploads/2YTM1FMFCSJ4/image.png" alt="image.png" height="1000" width="1000" loading="lazy" data-display-size="large" data-float="none"></img></a> </div> </div> <p><br></p><p>Attach the antennas by screwing them onto the connections on the back. It is highly recommended to use both antennas. You should notice a major improvement in the PC's wireless signal.</p><p><br></p><p>If this does not help and you are still experiencing wifi problems with your PowerSpec PC running Windows 10, we suggest following the troubleshooting steps in this article: <a href="https://community.microcenter.com/discussion/2304/how-to-fix-network-connection-issues-in-windows-10" rel="nofollow noreferrer ugc">https://community.microcenter.com/discussion/2304/how-to-fix-network-connection-issues-in-windows-10</a></p> </article> </main>
