If you have a Micro Center Protection Plan, all claims can be handled directly in your local store. If your product is covered by your protection plan, please bring it in and we’ll handle it from there!
If you're unsure of the status of your protection plan, please check your receipt to find the date of purchase and plan expiration date.

Micro Center is an authorized service provider for many popular brands and as such, we can offer warrantied service and repair on many laptops and desktops from these brands!

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I add a protection plan after I've purchased my item?
Yes, protection plans can be added to your item at any time within the return period.
Can I add a protection plan over the phone?
For items purchased in the store, protection plans must also be added in the store. Items purchased online must be delivered before the protection plan can be added. Protection plans for shipped items may be added over the phone.
Can I add a protection plan to a refurbished item?
Yes, you may! As long as the item is still within the return period a protection plan may be added.
Can I renew or extend a protection plan?
No, protection plans cannot be renewed or extended.
Can I ship my product back for repair if it is still covered by the protection plan?
In most cases, yes. Some protection plans may cover shipping costs. However, we would strongly recommend bringing the item into the store for faster service. If you have an ADH or Accidental Damage while Handling plan and no longer live near a Micro Center location, please open a chat at the Micro Center Help Center to request a Box and Label to be shipped to you.
Can I use my protection plan to return an item after it is past the return period?
No, a protection plan cannot be used to make an extended return on an item.
Do I need to bring my item to the store to purchase a protection plan?
In most cases, yes. Especially for Accidental Damage plans where a visual inspection of the item may be required before a protection plan can be purchased.
How long until my warranty or protection plan expires?
The expiry of a warranty or protection plan would vary depending on the warranty or protection plan. Expiry dates can be found on your receipt. You can find a copy of your receipt in the Order History tab of your Insider Account.

Is my warranty or protection plan covered in other countries?
Typically, a warranty is not covered in other countries. However, we do have international protection plans available.
What is covered by my warranty or protection plan?
Warranty coverage will vary depending on the manufactures warranty. Protection Plans will also vary depending on the type of plan purchased. For more detailed information about protection plans, please view our protection plan page here.
Do you offer onsite repairs with these protection plans?
