Having an issue with your internet connection with your Windows 11 PC? You may need to perform a network reset. This quick and easy process will automatically reinstall any network adapters and set any other networking components back to default settings. If the computer is using Wi-Fi, it will need to be reconnected to your Wi-Fi connection once complete which means you will need your Wi-Fi information such as network name and password.
To do this reset:
Right-click on the Start button, typically found at the bottom of the screen, then click on Settings.
In the Settings menu, on the left side of the screen, click on Network & Internet.
From this menu, click on Advanced network settings.
Under “More settings”, Click on Network Reset.
Next to the Network Reset listing, pick Reset now to restart the computer and start the reset process.
This pop-up will give you five minutes before a computer restart in case you need to save any files, etc. before shutting down. If you don’t need to wait for this, simply right click on the Start button, go to Shut down or sign out, and pick Restart.
Once the computer restarts, the network reset will be complete and if you’re on Wi-Fi you may need to manually reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.
