In more recent versions of Windows 11 on your lock screen, you may notice widgets that can provide quick access to useful information such as weather, stock updates, and other features depending on what programs you have installed on your computer. If you want to change or disable these widgets, today we will walk you through the steps to personalize your lock screen or remove the widgets entirely to suit your preferences.
Here is how to change or disable those in Windows 11:
First, right-click on the Start button, typically found at the bottom of the screen on your taskbar, from the list of options that appears, click on Settings.
Click on Personalization from the list of Settings.
From the list of options here, click on Lock Screen.
On the lock screen settings page, next to the lock screen status, there will be a drop-down menu with some options here. By default, Windows will provide some widgets that may show on your lock screen, and you can change through the options listed here to see which option you may prefer.
If you wish to turn these widgets off completely, change the option to None, and it will disable any widgets on your lock screen.
