Replacement protection plan: starts at the date of purchase of the product and extends up to 2 or 3 years depending on plan purchased. Limited to tablets with a purchase price under $50. If the tablet has a hardware failure (not Accidental Damage related) during the plan timeframe, then the customer can bring the product to the store for evaluation by our Service department (plan does not cover shipping tablet to the store for evaluation). If Service deems it unrepairable, then the customer will receive a Micro Center gift card for the original purchase price of the covered product (not including sales tax nor the price of the Replacement Plan). The gift card buys out the plan and can be used towards the purchase of any item in-store (does not have to be the same item that the plan covered).
· Carry-in Extension protection plan (repair plan): starts after the manufacturer's warranty expires and only covers the internal components of the covered product. Customer is responsible for getting the covered product to the store for repair.
· Date of Purchase protection plan (repair plan): starts at the date of purchase of the product and only covers the internal components of the covered product. It also covers shipping to our store for service if needed.
· Accidental Damage (ADH) protection plan (repair plan): starts at the date of purchase of the product and covers the internal components of the covered product while also adding accidental damage coverage for drops, spills, etc. It also covers shipping to our store for service if needed. · International Coverage: a supplemental plan that the customer can purchase as an add-on to a repair plan.. It costs an additional $59.99 and allows for reimbursement of repairs done outside of the United States.
