How to Extend Your ESET License with ACT.7 Error
This will guide you through renewing ESET when receiving an ACT.7 Error or “License and product do not match” message.
If this is your first time activating ESET, please scroll down to Part 2.
Part 1 - Finding your current ESET license
The first step is confirming you have both your current license key and your new license key. Your new license key should have been emailed to you, and your current license key should be in your older emails. If you are unable to find your current ESET license key, please follow the steps below.
Finding Your Current ESET License Key
This website from ESET will allow you to find an active ESET license key that is connected to your email. All you would need to do is enter your email.
You will receive an email from ESET with your current license key. Please write this down or save it somewhere as we will be using it in the next step. If you are unable to find your current license key with this website, please reach out to our Technical Support via Chat at Microcenter.com and clicking the chat box in the bottom right!
Part 2 - Activating your new ESET license
Activating your ESET license
Please go to this website from ESET and select "I'm activating a new license" or “I’m extending my current license”.
Fill out the information on this page. Post your current license key at the top and the new license key at the bottom!
Once done, click submit and wait for approval. Once approved, please restart your computer so that your ESET loads in with the new activated license! If you do encounter any issues, please contact our Technical Support chat by going to Microcenter.com and clicking on the chat prompt in the bottom right!
