My son's first gaming PC
Hello,
Would appreciate if someone is able to do a quick check on the components and let us know if there are any concerns regarding compatibility etc. Intended uses include mainly gaming, coding, light video editing, and school work for an incoming high school freshman.

For a super-budget build, I think it's pretty solid overall and everything is compatible, but I did notice you did not put a case in the build.
This is the case we use in many of our new Powerspec systems, and I think would be a good starting point: https://www.microcenter.com/product/604789/lian-li-205-tempered-glass-atx-computer-case---black
Other cases to look at would be the NZXT H510, Lian Li 205M or Cooler Master NR600
One other thing I'll point out is that at this price point, you might actually benefit from doing a pre-built system instead. Our Powerspec systems are very competitive pricing wise, and you could buy something like the B244. You'd still have to add a hard drive and video card, but Windows is included and you get an upgrade on the processor.

Thank you for the response. He will be using a Darkflash DLM-21 case for the build, unfortunately it wasn't available on the Microcenter PC builder and will have to be purchased elsewhere. Also, is a 120GB SSD enough for Windows 10 home-64 bit?

Thanks again for the responses. One question: Instead of using Ryzen 3 3200g can we use the Ryzen 5 1600af for the configuration above (at https://www.microcenter.com/site/content/custom-pc-builder.aspx?load=60e4b9f4-bd29-45f8-8e77-2e5b65b3f7f7).

Yes, you could use a Ryzen 5 1600AF with that motherboard.

Thanks!
