(Closed) Summer Build Showcase Contest – Enter to Win a $500 gift card!
Share your PC Build on our Showcase and be entered into a contest for a chance to win a $500 or $100 Micro Center gift card.
We're more than halfway through Summer! With all that's happened this year, a lot of us are updating our builds to work from home or to try to enjoy our time spent quarantined. We'd love for you to share your new or updated build with us! We want to know what went into your build, from how you chose your parts to how you're using your custom PC. We're running this contest until the end of August, where you could win up to a $500 Micro Center gift card, which you can use to upgrade and customize your build even more!
All you need to do is join the community forum and create a Build Showcase post with the following info:
- Photos of your custom PC Build
- Description of your PC; Build Process, Upgrades, or parts you may change.
- List of all included parts
To be considered for entry in this contest:
· The PC must be yours or a PC that you built
· No duplicate entries, however, you may post multiple different PC builds to the Showcase
· Submission must be posted to the PC Build Showcase. (Forum submissions will not be considered)
· Submissions must be approved by Micro Center before being published and accepted as a contest entry
Follow these simple steps to submit your PC Build Showcase:
Step 1. Sign in to fill out the build submission form
Step 2. Fill out the build category, name, favorite feature, and description. Include details about the process, what you use your PC for, things you would change, etc.
Step 3. Add a few glamour shots of your completed build
Step 4. Fill in your parts used
Note: You can manually add archived or custom parts. In the example below, I've added an Intel i7-7700K by typing in the "Select CPU" field. Since the part is not listed I then selected "Add Intel Core i7" as seen below in red.
Contest ends 11:59 pm ET on August 31st, 2020.
The winners will be drawn Tuesday, September 1st, 2020
The grand prize winner will be randomly selected and win a $500 Micro Center gift card. A second-place winner will also be randomly selected and win a $100 Micro Center gift card.
See attached contest terms and conditions.

who won the last months contest?
-
If we submitted our build last month do we have to submit it again for this giveaway? Also how do we find out if we won or not?
-
Hi,:Ditto: on both questions above.
-
I hope they aren't just saying that to boost sales cause there said nothing about last month but now post it again for this month
-
Damn! Didn't even know that they had such an event and it's every month too?
-
@snowkiid We'll be announcing the winners shortly. We've emailed them we're confirming that they can receive their prize! Once we've squared everything away, we'll update it in the original competition announcement!@Johnnyboi132 If you've submitted a build to our previous showcase competition you would not be able to submit again unless you've made a change to your build.@Maxx It's pretty amazing isn't it? We haven't decided to keep it going every month, but we're really enjoying the builds that have been submitted so far!

-
Case and point I see no way to edit and add to an existing build sub of mine.

@MAS Thanks for the feedback! We haven't announced the winners quite yet, as we're waiting to be sure that they have claimed their prize. As soon as they have claimed their prize, we'll update our July Showcase Competition with that info! You're welcome to make changes to your build by using the Build Dashboard. Under the "My Completed Builds" section, you can select "Edit" to add or change any updates that you've made to your build.I hope this info helps. If you have any further questions or concerns please don't hesitate to reach out. You're more than welcome to send me a message directly if you prefer.

So we just have to add our builds to our build list and thats all ?
-
@American_Fighter It does need to be published and approved to the PC Showcase. Once it's live, that would be considered entry into the contest.

I submitted my build a few hours before midnight deadline, but it says pending and have to be approved by microcenter. Am I too late, does it have to be approved by midnight or am I entered in the pc build contest successfully? Can I just enter it for September contest instead?
-
@LastFoodBender It does have to be approved before 11:59 on the 31st to be considered for the August Contest. However, you're correct that you are instead entered for the September contest!

When will we find out who won this?
