I need help getting a newer processor

My comp is a little old but just wanted to get a processor newer enough for my cpu. What processor can I get? I need sse4.2 and at least 1600 benchmark.

I got hp model number p6719c with and phenom x4 840T processor.

    Hello @Pauljrcbg! Welcome to the Community. 

    Unfortunately, the CPU in your system is quite old. It uses the old AM2+/AM3 socket, and no new processors we carry would be compatible with that. You would have to look at used options. Also, what exactly do you mean by "1600 benchmark?"

    Ok what would be best processor to get for my cpu? 1600 score for single thread performance. Mine is 1259.

    @Pauljrcbg - If you want the best of the best, Go Intel. You shouldn't really care about benchmark scores as it does not simulate real life workloads and tasks. AMD is still playing catch up to achieve good single core performance. Not trying to sound fanboyish here.
