Is there a way to reset my new PowerSpec? The hard drive light is blinking red. Fan is working.

I set up my new PowerSpec i5 two days ago and it was working fine. I just tried turning it on and nothing shows up on the monitor. The fan is running, there's a blue light on top, but the hard drive light is blinking red. Is there a way to reset? What's the problem?

Sounds like the problem is with video output. You have power, the HDD light indicates activity. It wouldn't be accessing the drive if it wasn't loading the OS, you just can't see it. Can you try to hook up another monitor, or swap the monitor cables around?

It was the new monitor from Microcenter. After a power surge, the monitor, although on, needed a reset. Everything was plugged into a new surge protector from Microcenter.

Interesting. Perhaps it was stuck on the wrong source and wasn't auto scanning until you reset it.
