dp no signal

We just built a pc and when we turn on the monitor, all we receive is "dp no signal". We have tried a dp cable, an hdmi cable and even a different monitor. Any suggestions?

Are you plugging into the GPU or the motherboard? What are the parts you used for build? Also, give this no post article a try as well; https://community.microcenter.com/discussion/2818/tech-article-how-to-troubleshoot-a-newly-built-pc-that-will-not-post-boot-power-on
