Can’t connect ton internet. Just picked up a new dell today which was supposed to have all migration

    Sorry to hear that you're having some difficulty here @Randszjee Would you mind providing your service reference number? Is this an issue with connecting wirelessly or with a wired connection? What kind of message are you seeing when it displays that it won't connect?

    On 12/14/23 I purchased a refurbished HP laptop (S/N 5CG244L5R) very similar to the one I replaced. I can't get past the network connection page. It shows my password on AT&T and indicates, "connect automatically", but will not take me past that point. I have tried rebooting my modem & router numerous times without effect.

    Difficult to troubleshoot from the OOBE screen, lets bypass it for now.

    1. Shift + F10
    2. In the CMD window type: cd oobe
    3. Enter.
    4. Type: cd bypassnro.cmd
    5. Enter.
    6. The system will restart.
    7. Choose on the bottom for not having internet.

    Let us know what it says when you try to connect from inside the OS. You can connect your Microsoft account later.

    cd oboe: "The system cannot find the path specified."
    cdbypassnro.cmd: "Is not recognized as an internal or external command . . blahblah. . ."

    What is CMD window? I'm 75. Be patient. I'm on a screen indicating 
    C:\Windows\System 32> but I can’t enter anything.

    I just pressed the reset button.  Screen says: Enter network security key. Response is network security key is incorrect. CAPS key is not on!

    On 4/27/2022, I purchased a HP Laptop with a 2 year vendor warranty at the Gwinnett store. I accidentally destroyed it in my oven recently. 
    2 days ago purchased a refurbished replacement HP laptop at the Duluth store, forgetting my 2 yr warranty.

    It's saying the WIFI password is wrong. So on that screen press Shift + F10, that should bring up a command prompt window. Black screen, white text. Should see C:\Windows\System32. That's where you want to type the commands.
