Cannot get ESET to open
I am trying to renew my license on my ESET on a desktop that is running windows 7 so I am not sure if that is the problem. I am unable to get ESET to open so I can add the new product license.

Sounds like a damaged installation, it should still run fine on Windows 7. I would run a repair install on the client: https://support.eset.com/en/kb5844-repair-an-existing-eset-installation-using-the-setup-wizard -
very strange. the system does not give me an option to uninstall only change. any suggestions? I can go on the harddrive and delete but I don't know if that is sufficient.

This is normal. Hit "Change" then "Next" and you'll get the "Repair and Uninstall" options.
