100% CPU USAGE
I just recently upgraded my graphics card, power supply and CPU cooler
My specs I had were
CORSAIR Vengeance RGB PRO 32GB
B450 Tomahawk Mobo
AMD Ryzen 5 3600
NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2060 SUPER
CORSAIR RMx Series RM550
CORSAIR Hydro Series H60 AIO Liquid CPU
Now I have
CORSAIR Vengeance RGB PRO 32GB
B450 Tomahawk Mobo
AMD Ryzen 5 3600
NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX Gigabyte 3070 OC
Thermaltake 700W 80 Plus
CORSAIR H115i RGB Platinum AIO liquid CPU cooler
Now every single time I play a game it’s not performing as it should. I’m running lower FPS, but when I looked into it everytime I play a game my CPU usage sky rockets, and goes to 95% or a constant 100%. I don’t know the issues is it the cpu? If so I was gonna get a Ryzen 7 3800XT.

Hello @Lusvic_ thanks for posting on the Microcenter Community Forum. What games are you playing? Have you updated your chipset b450 motherboard drivers and your 3070 GPU drivers? If not try updating the chipset drivers, see the link below for the motherboard. You can also attempt to update the 3070 gpu drivers from device manager. See link below for that. Also make sure your power options are set to High Performance, link below. Try these 3 things if they have not already been done. Check CPU usage afterwards. If still getting 100% usage, reply to this post with your Task Manager picture so we can take a look.

I updated my GPU drivers already and why would I need to update the chipset? The CPU never changed and the motherboard never changed ? Does it have to do anything with the graphics card ?TSTDavey said:Hello @Lusvic_ thanks for posting on the Microcenter Community Forum. What games are you playing? @Lusvic_ your graphic card changed from what the motherboard was supporting previously. The Chipset helps your motherboard communicate with your hardware. Your 3070 is a new hardware component to your motherboard.

The BIOS update didn’t work and neither did anything else it’s still at 100% while playing a game here is proof

Greetings. What's your GPU usage while playing? This happens in every game you try?
-
Yes it does and when I’m playing a game I run at 30% GPU UsageIan said:Greetings. What's your GPU usage while playing? This happens in every game you try? -
Try a clean install of your video card drivers to see if this helps. We have a step by step guide for this here on our community found at: https://community.microcenter.com/discussion/2858/how-to-roll-back-or-clean-install-video-card-drivers-in-windows-10#latest It is the 2nd post in this thread that you'd want to try.Lusvic_ said:
