I just purchased the powerspec g900 - my pc with the asus z390-a works with the samsun cf591 curved
monitor, the g900 does not. do i have to upgrade to a newer monitor?

Greetings, your monitor should work just fine as long as you are plugging it in to your new PC with an HDMI or DisplayPort cable.
You will want to ensure you have any monitors plugged directly into your video card and not into the motherboard, as shown below:
