usb 3.2 c port on ASUS TUF A17 (R7 5800h)

Had this laptop for about a week. USB C port does not have enough power to charge a newer iPad Pro. Also USB C port would not support a monitor through this port. Is the port too underpowered to charge an iPad? Why is it not supporting a display as well?

It is a USB C cable and jack on iPAD pro, not Thunderbolt.
