I have just bought a 48" Monitor AORUS. Will not connect to my MSI Laptop. Monitor will not power up

To confirm, you press the power button and nothing happens? Or is it an issue of that the monitor powers on, but finds no source and goes to sleep?
If it won't power on at all, check the power cable in the back. Try to press it in and power it on..
