New PC Build Help
Hello everyone, I am currently buying parts for a new pc. I currently have a 3080 ROG strix 12gb and MSI B550 Tomahawk. The only thing I am kind of stuck on is the cpu component. I currently have the ryzen 5 5700x but was wondering if the ryzen 9 5900x was at all necessary. I believe it is on sale atm for $390, $100 more than the 5700x. Do yall think it is worth upgrading to the 5900x or just stick with the 5700x. I just want to make sure nothing gets bottlenecked and that I am getting the most out of my parts. Thanks for your guys' inputs.

Greetings. What do you plan on using the PC for? You wouldn't bottleneck with either processor in any way if that is your main concern.

The 5900x has a lower base clock speed as I recall and the main benefit is more cores. Unless you have a specific need, the 5700x is probably better for games.
