Does the microphone return policy apply to sealed product?

Quick question. I see that in the return policy that microphones are listed as not eligible for return. Looking at the list, it seems it's included as an unreturnable item due to hygienic concerns. I'm just looking for confirmation as to whether that applies to a microphone that is still sealed in the box, unopened.
