realtek gaming 2.5gbe family controller
This is driving me crazy. I had a problem with this earlier and fixed it. Now I cant
12th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-12400 2.50 GHz
gigabyte z690 ud ax ddr4
Win 10
I keep losing ethernet. I have updated driver from realtek and gigabyte to no avail. in device manager under events it says it was removed yesterday???

Against better judgement, I just used driver booster and it updated all drivers . Oddly enough it stated that the realtek driver was already up to date

Per device manager the ethernet controller is gone entirely. Discharge the system. Turn it off, unplug it, give it 5 minutes. Try it again and see if it redetects. Check the ethernet cable, see if it's picking up the connection at all.
