G478 Bios update
Hello, I have a PowerSpec G478 and recently tried playing the new Dune game; however, I am encountering an error, and the consensus for the fix seems to be updating the BIOS because of the degradation issues with the Intel 14th-gen chips. I think that PowerSpec has its own BIOS for this MSI motherboard, and I was wondering if there was an updated one compared to mine from when I purchased the machine. Or am I forced to use the MSI generic BIOS and fix all the BIOS settings myself?
Also, as part of this rabbit hole of trying to fix this problem, I found that this might also be why I have random crashes on this computer. I am hoping to kill two birds with one stone here. If not, I might have to bring it in.

Latest from us is HM9.
To flash our custom BIOS. Enter the BIOS then press Control + Alt + T to enter advanced flash mode. There is no issue with running the MSI BIOS, except you will get driver updates from MSI rather than us.

Perfect! Worked perfectly and fixed my issue. I was on HM7 so this was the issue.
Just one follow up. If I updated to the MSI BIOs would I need to mess with things like fan/ pump speeds? Would you mind confirming? I read something like this on a comment which is why I didn't do it.

Depends on the board and BIOS. On this one with this case, I don't change much at all. The only thing that would be different would be the secure boot setup. Ours enters deployed mode and it's setup for maximum security so that you can't boot from unsigned media.
