There are so many routers, how do I choose?

I currently found out that WOW Internet is charging me $14/mth to "rent" their modem. The current speed is up to 500 mbps, however, we are upgrading to 1000 mpbs next month when we move. I would like to find a router that will work for us and will handle the speed and work with WOW. I have no idea what I am doing and finding DOCSIS 3.1 vs 24 x 8 info, but I have no idea what it means, nor do I really need a tutorial of what does what. I just need a recommendation for a modem that is under $150. It doesn't need to have the built-in router as we have the home wifi Eero for that. It does need to have 4 ethernet ports so I can hard line connect for work.

Greetings. Per WOW's website, they recommend a DOCSIS 3.1 modem for their services if you do not rent from them.
