Starting my son's build for x mas and looking for a decent video card?

I see that my motherboard has integrated video but he will using the computer more for Fortnite and Minecraft. Want my budget to be around $500 as much as possible. Know I can find deals elsewhere but I want to try and get most at MicroCenter. Have a time crunch since I am doing this too late and took care of my other kids before Christmas.

Thanks you much

Greetings, integrated graphics isn't going to work out for most, if not all games, even low-end graphically intensive games. You'd want a GPU for sure. $500 is a bit low to build a PC with as well, especially for any sort of gaming.

  • thanks Ian. I did go a different route which i will be updating soon, but haven't found a GPU to go with yet. Was hoping to find someone to buy off or find elsewhere to not have to stomach a huge $300 price tag.

    Case: Thermaltake H200 TG

Motherboard: ASUS ROG Strix B450-F Gaming II

    CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600G

M2. SSD: Inland Prime 3D TLC NAND 500GB

    Memory: Crucial Ballistix Gaming 16GB DDR4-3200 (8GB X 2)

Power Supply: PowerSpec 650W model #PS650BSM

    OS: Windows 10 Home

So far with these items purchased, I'm at $780 with taxes and still need GPU.
