AMD had a massive 2022 Product Premiere Livestream today, revealing a whole lot of new AMD goodies for the new year. Like...
Built on 6nm Zen 3+ core architecture, the new AMD Ryzen 600 Series Processors are designed to be absolute powerhouses in the notebook space. Featuring AMD RDNA 2 architecture-based integrated graphics, the 6000 Series is the "fastest Ryzen mobile processor experience ever."
For the desktop computer enthusiasts out there, AMD came out swinging with two big announcements: the Ryzen 7 5800X3D and Ryzen 7000 Series processors
AMD isn't just introducing new mobile processors this year, announcing a whopping ten new GPUs!
Lastly, AMD has a big year planned for its software as well, including updates to AMD Adrenaline, AMD Advantage Framework and AMD Smart Technologies.
And that's it all the big announcements from AMD today! We've put together a recap of NVIDIA's presentation over this way, if you're looking for more GPU news. And be sure to check back the rest of the week as we recap the biggest news from CES 2022!
I don't know if you saw a different Livestream than the one I watched, but the 5800X3D does not support DDR5. They can't magically add DDR5 support to an existing platform without changing both the motherboard pin assignments as well as board design to accommodate the new PMIC power delivery. It's still an AM4 based DDR4 controller. AMD confirms this on their website: https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-ryzen-7-5800x3d
Also, if I had $1 for everytime you used the word "powerhouse" in one of your articles, I would be able to afford a modern-priced GTX 1650, which isn't a good card, but still weird nonetheless.
