Any advice on different/better parts for my no GPU build?
I WILL be adding something like a 3060 ti or 6700 xt down the road.
I chose core i5 12600k for CPU with graphics since Ryzen G series dont seem to have the muscle left over to run add-on GPU as well. Agree? (I am an AMD fan, but looks like the i5 wins here)
Im not sure if I missed any tiny details in this build...
Any advice is greatly appreciated. Im not building an FPS monster but my target is solid 1440p gaming in the end with add-on GPU mentioned above.
Core i5 12600k
MSI Z690 MAG Tomahawk WiFi DDR4
G.Skill Ripjaws V 16GB 3600 CL16
Thermaltake S300 ATX case
EVGA 650 80+ bronze
Inland 1TB Gen 4 nvme
MSI Mag Core Liquid 360mm aRGB Water cooling
Arctic Cooling p12 120mm case fans
Greetings, I'm not really seeing any issues with your list.
Just a heads up with that case, you can only front mount a 360mm radiator.
As long as you are aware games etc. will not run very well (or at all, depending on title) until you get that GPU, everything does look good here.
Is a top radiator mount the way to go?
Any case suggestions?
Typically a top mount for a 360mm radiator is much easier to work with.
I'd suggest to look over the options here, this is all the cases we'd have with a 360mm top mount: https://www.microcenter.com/search/search_results.aspx?Ntk=all&sortby=match&N=4294964318+4294808120&myStore=false
