Looking for maximum ram for Toshiba Portege R500-S5100X

A friend gave me a Toshiba Portege R500-S5100X which is in perfect condition. Trying to decide if it is worth upgrading to keep. I know I can add an SSD but would need more RAM to make it work properly with Windows 10. It currently has 1 GB DDR2. Anyone know where I can find out how much RAM can be installed?

Greetings, unforunately I am not seeing much information about this laptop online but it appears it was released in 2005 or 2006.

With the age of the system being from 2005-2006 it appears, you would be much better off buying a new laptop with Windows 10/11 already installed, the processor in that laptop might be unable to support a new copy of Windows with its age and would be majorly outclassed by anything currently sold.

I found the answer from another source. It has 1 GB hardwired and room for 1 GB stick. Sadly, that is not enough to run Windows 10 at a decent pace. Sad because it is perfect beside that big issue. Will be recycling.
