I'm trying to figure out which part of my girlfriend's computer is broken.
My girlfriend was playing games on her PC when randomly there was "an exploshion or spark from the computer, then everything shut down".
When I went to troubleshoot I found the computer fans, RGB, and GPU fans would turn on when I unplugged the CPU power plug, however when I plugged it back in nothing worked. I got a new motherboard CPU and RAM and the system worked with that. There is no visible damage on the motherboard or CPU. I want to only have to buy a motherboard or CPU for a new system, and am not sure which part is faulty or how to test which is the fault
Hope someone can help and knows what's wrong.
The CPU is an Intel I5-3570 with a chip socket LGA1155
