Power Supply Overhead
How much overhead is enough for a power supply. I've watched some videos from gamers nexus and LTT but I'm still not sure. I am planning for a build like this: (https://pcpartpicker.com/list/WpWQJf) which estimates my power consumption to about 470W. Is that the average or maximum power draw? If I want to OC how much more power draw is that? I have a 750W PSU, will it be enough?
I've seen some people recommending that the PSU capacity should be double your system's max draw. To me that seems incredibly overkill.
Edit: still can't post links, sorry for bad hyperlink

You'd be fine with a 650W unit, but 750W is a good choice and probably the most optimal. Most power supplies will peak in efficiency between the 40-60% mark. Corsair has some efficiency curve charts on their units that are helpful. 470W which I'm sure is a conservative estimate, is going to put you slightly above 60% on the 750W unit. That's pretty solid.

Greetings. For a 5600X and a 3070 Ti, you can use a 750W supply without issue. Shouldn't matter on overclocking/not overclocking.
