I have several Microcenter Flash Drives. I use them for backup media. I ran into something strange. I found that the 128GB USB 3.0 Flash drives are twice as fast as the 256GB USB 3.1 Flash Drives. It seems the labeling is reversed. It appears the 128GB Flash drives are USB 3.1 GEN 2, and the 256GB Flash drives are USB 3.0 or USB 3.1 GEN 1. Any thoughts?

That sounds interesting. What software are you using to test the drives with? CrystalDiskMark, etc.?

Not benchmark software, just went by the elapse time doing the same backup with each Flash Drive. Both Drives were partitioned and formatted NTFS if that makes a difference. I'm guessing at the speed of 5 and 10 GB/SEC because of the 2 for 1 speed difference.
