GPU For laptop

I am confused about what graphics card to choose,

NVIDIA RTX A5000 Max-Q 16GB GDDR6

or

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 with Max-Q 16GB

this would be on a laptop, I plan to use it for gaming (when I have time) and for my professional (College, going into Engineering and Architecture major) use (AutoCAD, Revit, Matlab, 3D Renderings) But when looking online the A5000 seemed like it wasn't that good for gaming, and I don't know if the 3080 would be ideal for running the software.

As well could you maybe give m a link to a desktop that is pretty good for gaming within a reasonable budget, once I'm out of college and saved enough money I want to have an idea of what I kinda want.

You can't really buy a graphics card for a laptop, are you looking at laptops with these cards already in them?

Yes, these cards are in them it's more of choosing one of these options, I'm having trouble picking which one to go with!

Those are the same, just tuned for different usage. As a student by definition you won't be doing professional grade work to absolutely require the A5000 and if you get a job using that software then the company had better provide equipment (never use your personal laptop or PC for work unless you are a 100% independent consultant). So just get the 3080 and enjoy.
