Hello and thanks for the acceptance to your group.
I just bought an Ender 3 pro, assembley seemed to go well.
When I tried to auto home it went to the correct corner but went a few mm past the end of the bed towads me. I was proper on the left side of the bed just a little long on the Y axis. Any suggestions would be helpful. tia

Sounds normal, when you auto home it should come between a quarter and half an inch off the build plate. This is a firmware offset to prevent the nozzle from smashing itself on the bed if the build plate isn't level.
Thank you. How do I correct it?
Go back into the menu with the Auto Home option and disable steppers. Then maneuver extruder and bed manually to check the nozzle in each corner with a piece of paper.
Adding a guide on leveling the bed: https://all3dp.com/2/ender-3-bed-leveling-all-you-need-to-know/
I'd grab a test pattern from Thingverse, then print that to fine tune it from the paper test the manufacturer recommends. I like this pattern: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3235018
Just see how it lays down, and if it's not right in a certain area, give that corner a quarter of a turn to dial it in. I've gotten pretty good results that way.
Thank you I will go throught the process.
Do I need to have the SD card inserted?
Only to print the pattern I linked.
Thank you for your help
