New build by novice need advise

Hi,

I am working on my first ever custom build. I plan on using this computer for mostly gaming and some basic work stuff. The type of games range from 1st person shooters like Fortnite and Tomb Raider to large MMORPG's like Elder Scrolls Online and World of Warcraft. The PC is purposefully slightly overkill as I intend to not need to upgrade anything for quite some time. Please see my build and questions I have about it below

Questions:

Do I need a liquid cooler or heatsink? Am I in danger of overheating with this build? 

• If I put a liquid cooler in, can the stock case fans be moved to the top and would this aid or hurt the air flow through the case?

Do I have sufficient power supply with the 650W 80 plus Gold?

I'm also not sure how loud this build would be, I do not want my build to be super loud when all the fans kick on.

Are there any notable bottlenecks that can be seen with the parts I've chosen for this build?

Thank you for any advice or changes you would make would be appreciated.

1) The 5900X does NOT come with a cooler so you need to buy one. Something like this for an air cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO V2 CPU Air Cooler with SickleFlow 120, PWM Fan, Direct Contact Technology, 4 Copper Heat Pipes - Micro Center or if you want liquid cooling, an AIO like this: Corsair iCUE H100i RGB Pro XT 240mm Water Cooling Kit - Micro Center

That MSI case is all glass in the front, and while that looks good, it is terrible for air flow. With a 5900X and a 3070 I think you will be unhappy with the temperatures. Have a look at this case: Corsair 4000D Airflow Tempered Glass ATX Mid-Tower Computer Case - Black - Micro Center

2) A 650W PSU is fine

3) The fewer fans, the faster they need to spin to move the same amount of air as more fans. For quietness, have a lot of fans spinning at modest speed.

If you wanted to go with air cooler, I'd get just a slightly better one than suggested above. I'd look at https://www.microcenter.com/product/640526/be-quiet-dark-rock-4-black-universal-cpu-cooler or https://www.microcenter.com/product/639543/noctua-nh-u14s-cpu-cooler for air cooling. Otherwise a 240mm AIO will work great.

As for noise from fans, while a case with 3 fans or such sitting at the front may look like it will be quite the noise maker, most fans these days are extremely quiet unless under very high load.

Awesome, thank you for the suggestions! I will go with one of these options and switch up my case.

Is the build as a whole well-balanced or am I bottle necking myself somewhere and not knowing it?

I really appreciate the help and look forward to getting this thing built at Micro Center in the coming week!

i would change the motherboard with asus and get a bigger power supply for future use..

Question:

Added wrinkle to this, I went to place my order with St. Louis Park location and it seems the Ryzen 9 chip is now out of stock. Is there a way I can still reserve the rest of the parts in my build and order and have them set aside until this chip comes in and then have Microcenter proceed with the build?
