$850 PC Build

This is a budget build list that I put together, hope this will give you some inspiration for your own builds! This build features a Ryzen 5 5600, a RX 6600, and solid components otherwise in the parts list. This should be able to do 1080p games no problem, and get into 1440p as well in certain games. The 6 cores of the Ryzen 5 5600 also make it decent for video editing and rendering. *Note that the system does not include an operating system.*

Nice build for the price. Hopefully this will help someone out looking in this budget area!

  • This should even be helpful for people building slightly higher budget AMD systems. It's a good baseline AMD gaming PC where you can go through and ask "what is worth the price to upgrade?". Do you want a B550 motherboard for future expansion? A more powerful graphics card? Better airflow case? From your build the upgrades are all about better performance and personalization, not just functioning with modern software and games.

  • Great job! It's all about finding that perfect balance between price/performance, and you've certainly done that here. I would consider bumping the board to a B550 as a first priority, you don't want to miss out on the PCIe 4.0 benefits! Plus, the more efficient Smart Access Memory since you're staying within vendor.
