I've bought all the components for my PC except for my graphics card and right now I'm deciding between getting windows 10 or 11. The parts are from a few years ago (Ryzen 7 5800X, RTX 3070, Gigabyte B550 Board) and I'm wondering if older parts can not work as well with a certain OS.
Thanks!
Greetings. There are drivers for Windows 10 or Windows 11 for that motherboard and the same would be true for any currently sold graphics card, so you can use either version without issue.
Hey, I would double check your motherboard is compliant with TPM 2.0 to use Windows 11. That should help you with choosing your Operating System. You should also be able to use the same Windows key for either 10 or 11 with your version of Windows. That way you can always choose the other one if you think you made a mistake.
Personally, I'd choose Windows 10. It's been out for a while and is a bit more stable than Windows 11 at the moment. I actually downgraded back to 10 due to issues with 11 and AMD processors. Yes, they released a fix but I'll wait until Windows 11 is a bit more mature.
