The decision for a good gaming experience does not stop at obtaining the right parts for your PC. One of the most important decisions is to pick out Accessories that you like and are also good for the job. It can be overwhelming to see all the options available to pick from. There are many good options to choose from and one of the best is SteelSeries. They have been making gaming accessories since the early 2000s, and it is no surprise they are using their experience to continue making excellent products to this day. I always recommend trying to stay with the same product brand for the accessories that you plug into your computer when you can. This way, you can use one software to control all your RGB and accessories settings!

SteelSeries offers an array of Keyboards from tenkeyless to full size, standard membrane to mechanical. One of the ones I recommend is the SteelSeries Apex 5. This keyboard has a unique take on gaming switches: hybrid switches. This gives the smoothness of a membrane key, while still performing with the low latency of a mechanical key and having the added durability from one as well. The OLED screen embedded into the keyboard enables everything from quick popups from Discord messages, to profile settings and more. Aircraft-grade aluminum encases the keyboard internals, ensuring long durability. RGB is very important to many people and this keyboard doesn’t leave you wanting with its 16.8 million illumination colors! With long gaming sessions, the need for wrist support is important. This keyboard comes with an optional magnet release and quick attach wrist rest, allowing you the freedom of space or support when needed.

SteelSeries has an assortment of different types of mice to choose from, such as the SteelSeries Aerox 3 Wireless Gaming Mouse. This mouse has ‘gaming grade’ wireless, which means the wireless signal has extremely low latency so your inputs are read by your computer much faster than standard wireless mice. The Aerox is perfect for gamers who like an ultra-lightweight mouse, coming in at only 68g! Its battery is designed to last for 200 hours of gaming and the type C allows for extremely quick charging and you can use it like a wired mouse while you’re charging it, so you won’t be taken out of the game. With their AquaBarrier™, you can protect your mouse from spills and dust that can ruin your mouse.

Your mouse can only work as well as the surface you use it on. The SteelSeries QcK Prism RGB Gaming Mousepad 3XL gives you 1220 x 590 x 4 mm of consistent surface space for your mouse to glide over with ease. The soft to the touch pad will also save your wrist or palm from rubbing on a rough surface. An RGB strip lines the outside of the pad, lighting your desk area with your favorite colors!

No setup is complete without a means to chat with your friends online while you play. The SteelSeries Arctis Pro is the perfect accoutrement to your gaming setup. Made with lightweight aluminum alloy, the headset isn’t too heavy to wear out your neck for long gameplay sessions. The steel portions of the construction make the headset durable where it needs to be. With DTS headphone surround sound, you can hear footsteps, explosions and sounds from behind or to the side of you. That way you can distinguish which way you need to go or avoid while playing games with directionality. The microphone is also clear and optimized for voice, so you can communicate with your teammates or egg on your enemies.

All of your RGB and accessory settings are controllable with the SteelSeries Engine Software, keeping your colors coordinated and letting you access all your settings in one software. At the end of the day, the thing that matters is your ability to game, and the SteelSeries line will be ready to go whenever you are! So, come on in to your nearest Micro Center and get the setup you’ll need to enjoy the best of your game!
