My Micro Center Insiders credit card came with a credit limit of $2400. I want to build a high end system including new monitors and buy the parts altogether so I can build and test the system to ensure everything works within the 30 day return policy. Since a high end gpu+cpu alone will be more then half the limit of my Insider credit card, will I keep the 5% discount paying the remaining charge with a 2nd card after maxing on the Insider Card? Or will I have to buy as much as I can in one trip, immediately pay off the pending balance and make a 2nd trip a day or two later for remaining items? I recently received the Insider card and don't want to put in a credit limit increase request so close to acquiring it for credit score purposes.

Yes, the discount would still apply, it would be capped at the credit limit and would not apply to items purchased with a different card.
