In New York City, does Micro Center accept electronics for recycling?

Greetings. The only recycling we offer is with a similar purchase. For example, if you buy a desktop, we will accept one desktop for recycling. Residents of New York in need of additional recycling services should go to New York State's Recycling Consumer Electronic Waste website at the following link: http://www.dec.ny.gov/chemical/66872.html

I just checked with the service department here at the Duluth, GA location, and I was told they do accept almost all electronics for recycling. That would exclude extraneous items (one example was a neon sign), but most home electronics can be recycled at Micro Center. We just ask that you sign a short form that expresses permission for us to recycle the item.
