Wifi on a new desktop (POWERSPEC B249 5600G/8/500/WIN11/P) and new router (ASUS ROG GT-AC2900 AIMESH

Hello,

We recently swapped out a mac mini for a new Windows 11 desktop. The computer is in the same room as the old one was, just under the desk now instead of on top. Also replaced the old router with a new one. Router is in the same location. Previous computer always had a good connection.

The PC is getting a super weak connection to the 2.4 GHz connection, and drops altogether several times during the day. We had asked about getting a USB wifi adapter, but it was suggested we update the router first, which we did, but we're still having connection issues.

Anything in particular we can look at to try to optimize the setup, on either the PC or the router?

Thanks,

Mike

Rich Text Editor. To edit a paragraph's style, hit tab to get to the paragraph menu. From there you will be able to pick one style. Nothing defaults to paragraph. An inline formatting menu will show up when you select text. Hit tab to get into that menu. Some elements, such as rich link embeds, images, loading indicators, and error messages may get inserted into the editor. You may navigate to these using the arrow keys inside of the editor and delete them with the delete or backspace key.
