Build Guide: ASUS Moonlight White Inspired Desktop

Today we’re taking our inspiration from the ASUS Moonlight White series of peripherals and components and putting together a build that would fit perfectly right alongside them. Our aesthetic, white-themed build highlights the minimalist look of the Moonlight White series without sacrificing power.

Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 5800X Vermeer 3.8GHz 8-Core Processor

With 8 cores and 16 threads, the Ryzen 5800X is a powerhouse processor for your everyday needs. For this build, we could have gone with other options like the Ryzen 5 5600X, but decided that the extra oomph from a top-of-the-line processor is absolutely worth it.

Motherboard: ASUS B550-A ROG Strix Gaming

This PCIe 4.0-ready motherboard has everything you need from dual M.2 heatsinks, a Thunderbolt header, and a 2.5GB ethernet port. Being that this build is all ASUS white, the white accents on top of the black 6-layer PCB gives the motherboard a nice clean look.

Ram: TeamGroup T-FORCE Delta RGB 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3600 PC4-28800 CL18 Dual Channel Desktop Memory Kit

For RAM, we went with an all-purpose white 32GB kit from TeamGroup that has ASUS Aura Sync-compatible RGB lighting. The Delta series RGB ram boasts a minimalist asymmetric design, giving our build the flair it deserves.

Graphics Card: ASUS NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 ROG Strix White V2 LHR Overclocked Triple-Fan 8GB

While white GPUs are few and far between, that doesn't mean there isn't a perfect card for this build. The ASUS GeForce RTX 3070 ROG Strix in white is a fantastic pick for this setup, giving the build the same attention to detail the ROG Series is known for along with some incredible power and ray tracing ability.

Solid State Drives: Samsung 980 Pro SSD 1TB M.2 NVMe PCIe Gen 4x4 Solid State Drive & Inland Prime 2TB SSD NVMe PCIe Gen 3.0x4 M.2 Solid State Drive

3TB of SSD storage? Why not! First, we’re going with the Samsung 980 Pro for the operating system, giving you blazing fast boot up and operation speeds. Inland’s Prime 2TB SSD is the perfect secondary drive for fast and ample storage, ensuring you won't run out of space any time soon.

Case: Lian Li Lancool 215 Tempered Glass ATX Mid-Tower - Snow White

We have a lot of stellar choices here, like the Lian Li O11 Dynamic EVO Tempered Glass ATX Mid-Tower, Corsair iCUE 4000X RGB Tempered Glass ATX Mid-Tower, or the ASUS ROG Strix Helios GX601 RGB Tempered Glass ATX Mid-Tower. However, we opted for a smaller case for this build: the Lian Li Lancool 215. The Lancool gives us a sleak white case with silver accent screws keeping the white aesthetic and the whole build minimalist and clean.

Power Supply: ROG STRIX 850 Watt 80 Plus Gold ATX Fully Modular Power Supply - White

Who needs white cable extensions when you can get a white power supply that comes with white-sleeved cables? This 850-watt, 80+ gold-rated power supply comes with silent axial-tech fans and ROG heatsinks, delivering more than enough to power your pc components.

Cooler: ASUS ROG Strix LC 240mm RGB Water Cooling Kit - White

Of course, this build isn't complete without ASUS’ ROG Strix LC 240mm cooler. Not only does it keep your CPU cooled with the latest cooling plate and improved pump functionality, but it also fits in stunningly with the rest of the build.

Keyboard: ASUS ROG Strix Scope NX TKL Moonlight White Wired Mechanical RGB Gaming Keyboard

FPS gamers were the inspiration for the Scope NX TKL series keyboards, with its easy-to-find extended CTRL button giving gamers an edge in frenzied gameplay. The keyboard’s dynamic backlighting is the perfect accouterment to its sleek aluminum frame and ROG-exclusive switches.

Mouse: ASUS ROG Strix Impact II Moonlight Wired Gaming Mouse - White

This ambidextrous mouse is perfect for the gamer looking to stay ahead of the curve. With 6,200 DPI, this lightweight mouse is a great addition to the Moonlight White series. The smooth glides provide fast movement in any game, making it accurate and precise for FPS gaming.

Headset: ASUS ROG Strix Go Core Moonlight White Gaming Headset

And finally in the Moonlight White Series is the ASUS ROG Strix Go Core headset, giving you an immersive gaming experience for mobile devices, PCs, and consoles alike. With virtual 7.1 surround sound and detachable microphone, the headset offers an incredibly comfortable ear fit, all in a lightweight design.
