Which DDR3 to get for total of 16 GB?

Options

I'm computer-illiterate.

Custom PC

Motherboard: MS-7641

CPU: AMD FX(tm)-8320 Eight-Core Processor

Graphic card: Zotac GTX750 TiOC 2GB 128 BIT DDR5

Ordered "HyperX FURY 4GB DDR3 1866 Desktop Memory Model HX318C10F/4" from NewEgg, no issues from that.

Total of 2 of HyperX FURY 4GB DDR3 1866 Desktop Memory Model HX318C10F/4

Wanted to increase RAM.

Ordered "Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM - Red (HX316C10FR/8)" from Amazon, gave me blue screen

    Greetings,

Does the computer still blue screen when you insert the HyperX RAM by itself? You can try to isolate the issue by trying 1 stick at a time in each slot available one at a time to see if there is a faulty RAM stick or motherboard slot.

The blue screen issue seems to happen on non-frequent basis when using Kingston HyperX FURY 8GB 1600MHz DDR3 CL10 DIMM - Red (HX316C10FR/8) by itself in either slots.

I had not encountered such issue when using 2 of HyperX FURY 4GB DDR3 1866 Desktop Memory Model HX318C10F/4

I thought that I have already total of 16 GB RAM (use all three RAMs) but was not aware that the motherboard has only 2 slots.

Since the problem is intermittent, you can run a program called memtest86: MemTest86 - Official Site of the x86 and ARM Memory Testing Tool

with just the suspect ram installed. it will let you know if that is really the problem and you can exchange it.

Note that using only one module or mismatching the sizes of two will result in slower performance for some programs. For best results you should get a second 8GB module and sell off the two 4GB.

I tried to run that program with my formatted USB thumb drive after the boot list but nothing happened, even after couple of minutes.

Which DDR3 of 16 Gb total product is best to go with my current motherboard?

Since the current memory you said is 1866 speed, you should get the same for new ones, not the 1600.

Unforunately I'm not seeing any of those products at Micro Center, I've heard of Patriot, HyperX and Kingston for RAM, haven't heard of Vaseky Knight. Any of those options realistically should work fine.
