My new PC: HP All-in-one 27” about 2 months old. Running Win 11 Home.
After a brief period of proper functioning, the PC lost internet connection.
A check of Settings shows WiFi is “CONNECTED. SECURE”. I turned off WiFi
and connected Ethernet. Settings also indicated CONNECTED. But neither will
connect to the Internet. Troubleshooters do not find an answer.
I am physically unable to carry my new PC downstairs and deliver it to Micro Center
warranty repair. I have tried HP but their website wants me to download various
fixes which I can't do with no internet on the new PC. Any ideas?
I am using an older Win 10 PC now.
It's been a while since I've used HP's warranty service, however you should be able to reach out to them directly via a phone number or a ticket system. Typically they want to do a remote diagnostic by downloading one of their programs, but obviously that's not possible here. If you can, explain to them that the computer is unable to receive an internet connection and that it works on other devices. With some talk, you should be able to bypass the remote diagnostic. That's been my experience in the past, at least.
