The motherboard in question is the "ASUS Z690-PLUS TUF Gaming WiFi D5 Intel LGA 1700 ATX Motherboard"
Hi, I'm currently trying to build my first PC, and I'm not sure if it would be possible to install an i7-13700k on this motherboard. I don't have an older CPU to flash the bios to the new compatible one, but I heard you can still flash the bios on some motherboards. Also, does the 20 off work for this motherboard CPU combo even if the motherboard is an open box?
It seems that the z690 plus tuf does not support bios flashback, which means you must have a compatible cpu to update the bios. And no, the $20 off combo discount does not work for open box item.
It's able to use that processor as of ASUS BIOS version 2004, released on 9/16, https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/motherboards/tuf-gaming/tuf-gaming-z690-plus-wifi/helpdesk_bios/ If you're getting it from a Micro Center store location, we'd be able to let you know a BIOS update if that is necessary to be completed.
