MOM NEEDS HELP

My son wants to learn to build computers. I'm thinking for Christmas I want to get him all the parts necessary to build his own gaming PC. You learn by doing. Unfortunately,  I have no computer knowledge what so ever and I really want it to be a surprise for him. Can anyone please tell me all of the components I would need to purchase for a top notch...hard core gaming PC? THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

Are you anywhere near a microcenter in person? The people in the build-your-own section can help you pick out parts for your budget,

  • @jultyrrell if you are not located near any Microcenter, give me a budget you are planning on spending, and I can help you pick something out. You mentioned high end, but that could mean anything from $2000 to $10000. Maybe more or even less. The more information the better.
